North Tyrol

Zillertal Alps

The Zillertal 3000 ski area is located in the west of Austria in North Tyrol and attracts with extensive slopes and guaranteed snow. Around 200 kilometers of groomed pistes and 65 lifts await winter sports enthusiasts.

The ski areas of Mayrhofen, Finkenberg and Tux are connected to each other and thus allow endless and varied descents. Together with the Hintertux Glacier, they form the Ski and Glacier World Zillertal 3000. The mountain railways are usually in operation from mid-December to mid-April. The mountain station on the Hintertux Glacier is located at 3250 meters and is open to winter sports enthusiasts all year round.

Even without a ski pass, a winter holiday in the Zillertal is worthwhile: mountain panorama, hut atmosphere, toboggan runs and winter hiking trails await you. Another highlight is the beautiful natural ice palace on the Hintertux Glacier.

Experience the Nature Ice Palace Hintertux Glacier, a walk-in glacial cave with an underground glacial lake.
Skiing in summer? This is possible in Austria's year-round ski area Hintertuxer Gletscher.
