What is special about The Oasis accommodations?

The small private chalets are traditionally built in a Nubian style. You won't find concrete here, instead the resort was built from natural stone, wood and clay. This architectural style not only looks beautiful and is sustainable, it also offers a pleasantly cool climate. Perfect for the Egyptian summer.

The chalets are individually furnished. Whether wooden ceiling, natural stone wall or vault, each of the small houses has something special to offer and its own spacious terrace invites you to relax and underlines the holiday feeling. The day begins and ends with a view of the sea and the house reef awaits just a few meters away.

Are all rooms equally beautiful?

Style and size vary, which enlivens The Oasis and emphasizes the individual touch. Everyone can expect a cozy ambience with natural building materials and a spacious terrace. Many standard chalets have a natural stone wall. Other residential units surprise with wooden elements, round windows, paneling or special colors. The deluxe chalets are spacious and offer wonderful sea views. Direct or indirect sea views are also included in some standard rooms.

What is The Oasis house reef like?

The house reef consists of beautiful hard and soft corals. It is a fringing reef, meaning it runs parallel to the coast and can be dived in either direction. Seawards it falls away and finally loses itself in the depths. A boardwalk leads safely over the edge of the reef, protecting the sensitive underwater world.

Colorful reef fish, needlefish and boxfish, pretty pipefish, large moray eels or a walking octopus. There is a lot to discover here. Especially in the mornings, sometimes even dolphins pass by and when diving at night you have the best chance of spotting the Spanish dancer.

Who runs the diving school on site?

The Oasis Diving Center is a cooperation of Werner Lau and Sinai Divers. In addition to English, German is also spoken here. Ideal for German-speaking tourists who would like to complete a diving course.

Safety and professionalism are very important. The rental material is also of good quality. Training is possible according to SSI, PADI and IAC/CMAS guidelines. If you have a nitrox license, you can get nitrox for diving at no extra charge, as with all Werner Lau diving centers.

Where can guests of The Oasis go scuba diving?

Shore dives, zodiac cruises, boat tours and day trips are offered. The diving center at The Oasis dives around 20 different locations. Various coral reefs, seagrass meadows, the Dolphin House and a shipwreck promise variety.

Every day there are several dive spots to choose from. A daily house reef dive (without a guide) is also included free of charge in The Oasis diving package. With night diving, the underwater world can be experienced in a completely new way.

Is there anything to consider before a stay?

If you are looking for party and animation, this is not the place for you. The entire concept is designed for rest, relaxation and a great diving holiday. The beautiful house reef is unsuitable for non-swimmers. The entry leads immediately into deep water. Waves and currents are possible depending on the weather conditions.

 When can you go to your room?

Regular check-in is from 14 p.m. Otherwise, the cozy terrace of the restaurant invites you to linger and sunbathing areas by the pool welcome you with sea views. Perhaps you would like to introduce yourself to the diving school? Subject to availability, early check-in or late check-out is possible.

where can you eat

Half board is included in the room rate. The full breakfast buffet also includes an omelette station and fresh pancakes. A perfect start to the day. Coffee, tea and juice are free in the morning. In the evening, a soup of the day, the salad buffet, various warm dishes and a delicious dessert buffet await you. Sometimes there are also special offers such as a barbecue. Drinks are not included in the price in the evening.

If you get hungry at lunchtime, you can order á la card. The restaurant is open almost all the time. Of course you can easily buy drinks.
