Antarctic Peninsula
Cierva Cove
Cierva Cove is a cove on the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. The Argentine research station Primavera is located in this area. It is occasionally used by researchers.
A landing is not possible for tourists, since Cierva Cove is an Antarctic protected area, but the bay is ideal for exciting zodiac rides. During an Antarctic trip, the impressive landscape of glacier tongues, icebergs and drift ice can be explored by rubber dinghy. Leopard seals are also often sighted at Cierva Cove. Penguins and Weddell seals also live in the bay.
On an expedition ship, tourists can also Antarctic Peninsula discover, for example on the Sea Spirit.
