The Antarctic Sound is a body of water between the Antarctic Peninsula and the northeastern Joinville Islands. Ocean currents carry huge tabular icebergs from the Weddell Sea into the Antarctic Sound. The area is therefore also known as Eisberg-Allee.
When traveling to Antarctica, it is worth making a detour to the Antarctic Sound to experience large icebergs and glaciers.
