A trip to remember!
For many people, a trip to Antarctica is a long-cherished dream. A touch of adventure and a spirit of discovery wafts around the word. Antarctic. A distant land. An icy land. Mysterious and unapproachable. Huge icebergs, rugged glaciers and lonely white expanses. Weddell seals, leopard seals and of course penguins. A trip to Antarctica is not easy and not cheap, but unforgettable. AGE™ was there and collected beautiful photos and exciting articles for you. Let yourself be taken away or inspired for your own Antarctic journey.

itinerary
The South Shetland Islands
lie between the South American mainland and the Antarctic Peninsula. They are the first land to come into view after the infamous Drake Passage. Politically, South Shetland is part of Antarctica. The islands are wild, lonely and pristine. The volcanic origin of some islands is clearly visible.
Destinations in South Shetland: eg Halfmoon Island • Deception island • elephant island
The Antarctic Peninsula
is significantly warmer than the rest of Antarctica. But here too there are icebergs, glaciers and snowfields, but also some ice-free coasts. For this very reason, the richest animal world of the seventh continent can be found there. If you want to observe the animals of Antarctica, this is the place for you.
Destinations of the Antarctic Peninsula: eg Portal Point • Cierva Cove • Antarctic Sound • Brown Bluff
South Georgia
is a highlight of any Antarctic trip. Whenever possible, you should plan a visit to this sub-Antarctic island. Mountain panoramas, tussock grass and waterfalls shape the landscape. Elephant seals, Antarctic fur seals and king penguins are the residents. In South Georgia there are penguins as far as the eye can see.
Destinations: eg Cooper Bay• Gold Harbor • Fortuna Bay • grytviken • Jason Harbour • Salisbury Plain

Antarctic trip reviews
Travel leaves traces. Memories. feelings. Moments that you will never forget. I often feel this connection to the world while trekking. Alone or as a couple in the middle of nowhere. I never thought that a group trip could touch me so deeply - this one did it. With ease. Can you imagine a sunset in Antarctica? An evening when time just stands still? In the middle of drift ice and surrounded by icebergs? I have seen him. Hard to grasp and hard to put into words, but engraved in my soul forever in thousands of colors. Can you imagine thousands upon thousands of penguins? In one place? Can you feel life pulsing in their huge colony? I've seen, heard and smelled them. The abundance of nature on South Georgia touched me deeply. No less than Antarctica itself. I had tears in my eyes more than once on this trip and no, I'm not built close to water. Grateful, overwhelmed and infinitely happy to be able to experience these miracles.
