The ancient city Jerash in Jordan has to offer not only imposing buildings from the Roman heyday. The remains of around 10 late antique churches can also be viewed. Most of them date from the 5th century AD. Some of the churches in Jerash with a mosaic floor have surprisingly well-preserved designs. especially the Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian is magnificently decorated.

The old roman city Jerash was known in its heyday under the name Gerasa. It is still very well preserved because it was buried under desert sand for a long time and offers many interesting ones points of interest & sights.
